There are very few people who are not familiar with the names of the Atkins diet or the Zone diet which are among the most popular of the various weight loss diets. These diets are all similar in nature i.e. to say that they are all popular low carb diets. Also since one will be eating at regular intervals one won’t be excessively hungry and this will aid weight loss by reducing excess consumption of food items. The Zone diet is a prominent low carb weight loss diet program which encourages this frequent consumption of foods as a from of causing weight loss and it is also known as it contains balanced proportions of carbs, fats and proteins as a part of the diet, where the carbohydrate content is lower.

Carbohydrates may be divided into two kinds, namely good carbohydrates and bad carbohydrates. It is always advisable to prevent the intake of these bad carbohydrates as apart from adversely affecting weight loss it may also cause harm to the body.
